Al-Qirwan SS 8221 — 132kV Connection
Project Overview
DDCC is executing the 132kV underground cable connection works for Al-Qirwan Substation (SS 8221) in the Riyadh Area. The project involves establishing a high-voltage underground cable link between the Al-Qirwan substation and the Saudi Electricity Company's 132kV transmission network, providing essential power supply to the rapidly developing Al-Qirwan residential and commercial district.
The scope of work includes extensive trench excavation across multiple road crossings, construction of reinforced concrete duct banks with block wall protection, installation and laying of 132kV XLPE power cables, and complete jointing and termination works at both ends. DDCC's experienced team is handling all civil and electrical components of the project with precision and quality.
The Al-Qirwan area is one of Riyadh's fastest growing neighborhoods, and this power infrastructure project plays a vital role in supporting the district's expanding residential communities, commercial centers, and public facilities with reliable electricity supply in line with Saudi Vision 2030 urban development objectives.
